How to make homemade apple butter



Baking a Moment

Treat yourself to a little bit of fall sweetness! Whether it be for breakfast, desert, or a quick snack – apple butter can be used any time of the day. Of course you can buy store bought, but we PROMISE making it at home will be worth it. Let’s get started!


  • 3/4 cup unsweetened apple cider/apple juice
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground cloves
  • 6 apples (peeled + quartered – 3 lbs total)


  • In a blender, place the apple juice, sugar, cinnamon and cloves. Begin processing the mixture until blended. Begin adding apple pieces slowly to the mixture until the consistency is smooth.
  • Pour your blended mixture into a saucepan and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and cover + cook over low heat for an hour (make sure to stir occasionally)
  • Take the lid off, and cook 1-1 1/2 hours until thickened. Store in a container thats airtight and place your apple butter in the refrigerator.

And as simple as that, you have your homemade apple butter!

Apple Cider Mimosa


What’s brunch without a mimosa? Exactly. Get into the holiday spirit with this autumn twist on the classic cocktail. It’s super easy to make and it is crisp and refreshing.

What You Will Need

  • Champagne
  • Apple Cider
  • Cinnamon
  • Sugar
  • Caramel
  • (Optional) Apple slices to garnish

Let’s Get Started

  • Pour about 1/8 cup of caramel onto a paper plate, and let it spread evenly.
  • In a small bowl, mix 2 tbsp of cinnamon and sugar.
  • Dip the rim of a champagne glass into the caramel. This will act as a “glue.” Then, dip the rim into the cinnamon and sugar mix. Aesthetic is everything, people!
  • Fill the champagne glass about half-way or three-quarters of the way with apple cider, and top with champagne.
  • Garnish with an apple slice on the rim.

Pumpkin Challah French Toast

It’s Thanksgiving people! No frozen waffles or box pancake mix today. This french toast uses challah bread, which is a traditional Jewish bread. You’ll never want to go back to using your average loaf of bread for French toast after using challah. It’s soft, fluffy, and oh so delicious!

What You Will Need

  • Challah loaf, cut into slices
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup of milk
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • Maple syrup

Let’s Get Started

  • In a mixing bowl, mix the eggs, milk. cinnamon, pumpkin pie spice, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  • Slice by slice, coat the bread in the mixture on both sides.
  • Place a skillet on your stove on medium heat. Melt the butter until it bubbles to ensure your slices will not stick.
  • Add the slices to the skillet and cook for two minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown.
  • Once finished, serve with maple syrup and enjoy!

Egg Casserole


Our mouths are watering just thinking about this warm, cheesy brunch dish. Who said eggs had to be boring? This casserole has all the goods in one place-Eggs, cheese, meat, hash browns. Wanna keep it light? Substitute egg whites and turkey bacon! It’s every breakfast fanatic’s dream.

What You Will Need

  • Bacon strips
  • 4 hash browns
  • 1 1/2 dozen eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper

Let’s Get Started

  • Start by preheating your oven to 325 degrees.
  • Cook 4-5 slices of bacon and hashbrowns in a skillet. Once finished, set aside.
  • In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, cheese, sour cream, salt, and pepper.
  • Grab a 13×9 inch casserole dish and pour in your egg mixture. Add bacon and hashbrowns to the top.
  • Cook for 45 minutes and let cool for 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy!

Pumpkin Pie Bites PERFECT For Thanksgiving Dessert




Thanksgiving is just around the corner and you know what that means: TIME TO FEAST! 2020 has been a stressful year already, and factoring in the holiday stress may be overwhelming but we are here to help. We found the perfect Thanksgiving dessert that only requires 30 minutes of prep because we know you have other things to worry about when it comes to planning fun holiday festivities!

Pumpkin Pie bites are the “best of both worlds” dessert for TWO reasons:

  1. They bring all the flavors of the classic homemade pumpkin pie
  2. They are portable making it super easy to travel

What You Will Need

  • 1 homemade all butter pie crust or 2 premade, ready to roll pie crusts 
  • 1 (8 oz) packaged cream cheese
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • ½ cup sugar 
  • 2 Eggs + 1 egg for egg wash 
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla
  • 1 tablespoon pumpkin pie spice 
  • Whipped cream


  1. Preheat your oven to 450 degrees and coat your pan with a nonstick cooking spray. Set this aside for later!
  2. Roll out your dough or pie crust using a floured rolling pin to prevent sticking. 
  3. Time for the fun! Using a round cookie cutter, cut at least 24 round cut-outs. We recommend using a cookie cutter that is approximately 3 inches in diameter. 
  4. Line the muffin pan with each round cut-out. Carefully press each cut-out and use your fingers to round the edges, forming a pie crust. 
  5. Using a pastry brush, brush egg wash from one of your eggs to the top edges of each pie. 
  6. Put the cream cheese and sugar into a large bowl and beat until soft and fluffy. Gradually add the well-beaten eggs, mixing continuously between each addition. 
  7. Add your pumpkin puree, vanilla and pumpkin pie spice into your mix. 
  8. Divide your mixture evenly into each mini pie crust.
  9. Bake in a pre-heat oven for approximately 15-20 minutes. Pastries should look golden brown around the edges. 
  10. Remove your mini pies carefully from the oven and let cool. We suggest you leave them chill in the fridge for 20 minutes so it is easier to remove from the pan!
  11. Almost done! Top your heavenly creation with whipped cream and sprinkle with cinnamon. Remember to keep your leftovers refrigerated

That’s all it takes! This super easy and fun dish will have you wanting to savor every last bite.
